| The Banjaran Hot Spring Retreat, Ipoh ~! Part 2 ~!
Entrance to Villa ~! Upon entering the villa, I was amazed by the personal space provided. To the left of the entrance, there are two allocated pool benches and a big umbrella for shading. On the right is our very own private plunge pool that lights up at night at a flick of a switch. In the compound of this mini resort within a retreat, the view of trees and limestone mountains are still very much noticeable providing an eye soothing background landscape panorama. Two practical waterproof wristbands are provided as keys to access the villa. They work just as well as "Touch-n-go" cards. Plunge Pool ~! Walking pass the benches and plunge pool, one will notice the spacious patio with fully furnished wooden and rattan designed furniture. It basically splits into two section. The first portion is the dining area where the pantry is, equipped with a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. There is a table for four and on it, a Labu designed water jug which houses special in-house water said to be with purification qualities. The second portion is the living area. Rattan lazy chair with wooden cushioned couch surrounds a coffee table. This area is equipped with surround speakers powered by audio system by Bose. A portable phone is placed above the cupboard for customer services. Patio ~! As the outer section of the villa is nothing short of impressive, the bedroom is equally as inviting furnished with an oversize king bed overlooking the hollow pleasantly lit hollow triangle roof. The pillows, mattress and linen are of high quality ensuring 99% sleep quality. 42 inch plasma satellite TV with free rental of selective DVDs will keep you entertained throughout the night while you sleep with the tranquil scent of lavender oil burning right next to you all day long. A working desk is provided that placed a huge complimentary fruit basket in front of a windowed garden. View from Plunge Pool ~! King Size Bed ~! At the separate room house the dressing area. Every section of this villa emphasize on spacious comfort-ability. There are 2 vanity areas that comes with different amenities influenced by gender. The walk in closet is fully equipped with everything you need and would like to have. As this is a hot spring spa retreat, an unusual quantity of body lotion is provided housed by a marble made container. All of its lotion, potion and bathing amenities are said to be brewed in-house by their own Spa Centre. There are 2 separate showers avail, one indoor covered with transparent tempered glass. Vanity Area ~! The second Rain forest shower is at the courtyard next to the private jacuzzi. YES ~! An OUTDOOR JACUZZI. Easily fits 4 persons, this jacuzzi has an addition option of hot water right from the hot spring. Privacy is ensured as the walls are high and the villas are apart. Again, accompanied by the green luscious mountains, I was lucky enough to spot a hornbill right on the tree above while I relax and rejuvenate. Jacuzzi ~! Quote of The Day ~! - For today and its blessings, I owe the world an attitude of gratitude.

| The Banjaran Hot Spring Retreat, Ipoh ~! The Lobby ~! Would you believe me if I tell you there is a slice of heaven right at our door steps? That you need not buy yourself a pair of wings and fly to distant lands to enjoy what nature has to offer. Tugged right in the middle of natural lime stone mountains and a center piece hot spring geothermal lake, the award winning Banjaran Hot Spring Retreat is just a mere 2 hours drive from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. Lobby Courtyard ~! Upon entering its' premises, we were greeted by a security check point station. As I've prior pre-booked and given my car registration number and model to the reservation staff, the guards recognized us and instructed us to enter upon the second entrance passing the 3 other cars in front awaiting authorization. We drove along the gravel road and finally reached the lobby parking bay. As we disembark, we were greeted by 5 butlers already awaiting for our arrival, 2 of which handles our luggages. Pamela our personal assigned butler greeted us with a warm smile and welcomed us. We were then given cold hand towels and a glass of lemon grass, pomelo concoction by the remaining 2 butlers. Proceeding to the lobby, I can't help but to acknowledge that this is what a spa retreat should look like. Geothermal Lake ~! Linda, the general manager then proceed to welcome us as I noticed that our luggages are being loaded onto the buggy for transportation. We had a pleasant chat with Linda and soon informed that our villa is ready. So we boarded the buggy together with Pamela. As we drive to one of their 25 exclusive villas, Pamela briefed us about the facilities offered by Banjaran. The first building inside the retreat on the left is The Pomelo Restaurant. It only serves organic and semi-organic food. Don't ever get dithered as the selections they offer are comparable with any 4 stars international restaurants. Going through the menu, you will notice various terms such as grass fed, umani, umai and etc which indicates the food origin and it's quality. I highly recommend Seaweed Maguro served with Mango and Papaya as appetizer and Grass Fed Beef with Mashed Pumpkin for the main course. The dessert options are still in a state of shyness but none the less at par with the rest of the meal. Crossing Pamelo, we were fumed by a small stench of sulfur which Pamela explains comes from the geothermal lake right below us. The lake is about the size of a foolball field emitting hot vapors creating a view of serene tranquility. Paired by the surrounding lime stone mountains covered by lust green forest, I've then finally realized that this place is a paradise made mimicking based on our understanding of god's residents. **More to come** Quote of the Day ~! - First there is a time when we believe everything, then for a little while we believe with discrimination, then we believe nothing whatever, and then we believe everything again - and, moreover, give reasons why we believe.
